The Lodge at Healdsburg,
Tapestry Collection by Hilton

When a longtime friend, Norman Krug, the Founder of Krug Hotels, approached me to create a brand identity for his new boutique hotel, The Lodge at Healdsburg, it was a yes! I presented several solutions, and the unanimous pick was the three cypress trees logo, inspired by the cypress trees surrounding the hotel's landscape.

I'm grateful to Bill Blum, VP/Project Manager, who discovered the cypresses, historical European meaning: “The three cypress trees signify that the traveler is welcome for full accommodation—a drink, something to eat, and a bed for a good night’s rest”. I got lucky!

After the success of The Lodge at Healdsburg project, I was asked to continue as their graphic/brand designer for all new projects-two hotels plus four food & beverage brands for the hotels.
